ABOUT LIAM GRAY

From the moment I could walk, I was drawn to anything with wheels and an engine. Cars weren’t just machines to me — they were alive, roaring with potential and purpose. But it wasn’t until I was 13 that I discovered the true direction of that passion: motorsport.

At that age, I wasn’t just dreaming — I was determined. I created a full presentation to convince my dad to help me begin racing. It wasn’t about asking — it was about showing him I was ready to put in the work, to chase this dream seriously.

We started small. Just me, my dad, and a kart. He was my mechanic, my coach, my crew — and I was the driver giving everything I had on track. We raced locally, learned together, struggled together, and slowly started gaining speed. Every lap, every weekend, I fell more in love with the sport.

In early 2024, I took a leap and entered my first national race. It was a massive step up, but I embraced the challenge. I pushed hard, improved race by race, and realized we had gone as far as we could on our own. That’s when I joined RPG — one of the top professional karting teams.

At RPG, everything accelerated. The competition was fierce, and the learning curve was steep. But I thrived on it. My speed increased, my racecraft sharpened, and I began closing the gap to the front runners. Every weekend, I came away better than the last. My time with RPG wasn’t long, but it was intense and transformative.

Still, I knew it was time for the next step: cars.

My dad had always dreamed of racing too, so we made a decision — together, we’d get our racing licenses. And we did, side by side, in one unforgettable weekend with Arrive Drive Motorsports.

Not long after, the team offered us an opportunity: a race weekend in the IGT/SVRA series. It was a big leap — a Porsche GT3 Cup car at Road Atlanta — but I didn’t hesitate. I dove in headfirst, fully aware of the challenge, but even more excited for the chance.

In my debut race weekend, I qualified near the front and stood on the podium. It was surreal. But more than the result, it was the experience — the feeling of being in that car, fully connected, completely alive — that made me realize: this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Motorsport isn’t just a sport to me. It’s my language, my passion, my purpose. I’m now fully committed to pursuing my journey in IGT and beyond — whether it’s sports cars, GTs, or anything with four wheels and a motor. If it has a steering wheel, I want to race it.

This is only the beginning.
